Can somebody give me an "understanding Japanese craft patterns" tutorial? I have a few books, and I have the owl pattern, but I'm not sure if I put it together correctly, or even cut the right pieces. I know that the dashed line means to place on a fold, but what do the lines with * on them mean? I futzed around and produced an owl, but he's a little squatter than I was intending.
